Strongly efficient during their first game against Germany, the Americans put on a show again during this matchday 2 of the 2018 Sud Ladies Cup as they hammered Haiti (7-0).
Hierarchy has been respected : favourites, the Americans outclassed Haïtian defense which only resisted for a quarter.
Astonishing during last game, Smith gave the lead to USA with a beautiful curled shot (14’). This opener was quickly followed by an avalanche of goals. Ashley Sanchez, the UCLA payer, put on a show, scoring three goals in less than a quarter (29’, 35’, 45’+1). Meanwhile, Smith offered herself a brace (45’).
At the end of the first half, the fate of the game was already sealed. And the the gap has widened after the half time with an accurate shot (52’) from Hocking followed just after by a goal from Gilroy (67’).
The show of the Americans stopped there. The team managed by Jitka Klimkova scored ten goals in just two games and sends a strong signal before the third and last day of the Sud Ladies Cup, this Sunday 10th of June, against France.
