Emelyne Laurent earned her first ever France call-up

Emelyne Laurent is living a waking dream. Everything started on June when the Olympique Lyonnais youngster scored three goals in as many games during the Sud Ladies Cup 2018, helping France to clinch the second place of the tournament.

Few weeks later, the 19-year-old forward made the headlines during the U20 World Cup as she netted four goals in six games.

Her consistency at the international level has been rewarded by a first call-up to the France national team. The head coach Corinne Diacre has selected Laurent for the upcoming friendlies against Australia and Cameroon on October.

This is a huge opportunity for the Fort-de-France-born to impress with Les Bleues while the World Cup 2019, held in France, is fast approaching.
