"My performances with France U19s and U20s allowed me to sign here. I can’t wait to discover the Division 1”. When she signed at Metz from Saint-Etienne, Amélie Delabre was aware that she has now a new status.
If she hadn’t found the net during the Sud Ladies Cup 2018, the 17-year-old striker made a name for herself a few months earlier during the preliminary and Elite rounds of the Euro U19 (10 goals scored in 6 games).
This summer, after sealing her move to FC Metz, she distinguished herself on the international scene once again as she scored four goals during the World Cup U20, helping Les Bleuettes to reach the last four.
After enjoying an eventful summer, Delabre has made his Division 1 debut against Fleury 91 (0-2). It was followed then by a first goal in the French top-flight against the giants Paris Saint-Germain (1-3).
At only 17, Delabre established herself as one of the best young talents in France. Can she keep the momentum going ?
