Mauleon and Avilez make Mexico bow
The October international break was the opportunity for two Mexican players who played the Sud Ladies Cup 2022 to make their senior international debut : Nati Mauleon et Aylin Avilez.
What do have Alison Gonzalez, Silvana Flores, Nicole Perez, Reyna Reyes and Nayeli Diaz in common ? All these Mexican players earned their first international cap with Mexico senior national team after taking part in the Sud Ladies Cup.
This list has grown this week with two players. Aylin Avilez, currently in a stunning form with the Rayadas Monterrey (9 goals in 14 Liga MX games this season), as well as Natalia Mauleon, the young but experienced player of Club America (more than 100 Liga MX games at only 20), have made their senior debut with Mexico. Only few weeks after playing the Sud Ladies Cup 2022.
They played their first minutes during the friendly between Mexico and Chile (1-1).

Recently appointed as the Mexico head coach, the Spaniard Pedro Lopez (U20 World Cup winner this summer with Spain) didn’t hesitate to introduce several youngsters in the squad in order to prepare the future of “El Tri”.
