Usually, Europe is the first option for Brazilian young talents when they decide to play in a foreign country but a growing number of Brazilian players are signing for Asian clubs like Ademilson. The 22-year-old forward, Toulon Tournaments 2013 and 2014 winner, is playing in Japan since 2015 and he’s particularly impressive !
The Sao Paulo youth academy graduate has enjoyed a promising first season with Yokohama Marinos (8 goals in 33 league games) and then he has signed for Gamba Osaka in January.Ademilson has obviously made the right decision as he became a fans’ favourite since joining Gamba Osaka thanks to his speed and his technical abilities. Used as a right winger or a centre-forward, the Cubatão-born has netted 13 goals in 37 games in all competitions this year.
Ademilson was close to clinch his first title but Gamba Osaka were beaten in the J-League Cup final by Urawa Red Diamonds (1-1, 4-5 pen) despite the opening goal netted by the Brazilian (see the video below). Here is the Ademilson’s next challenge : after impressing the observers by his performances, the Brazilian forward is aiming to win titles !
