Top scorer of the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018 with seven goals, Eduardo Aguirre is starting to force his way into the Santos Laguna first-team.
After enjoying his Liga MX bow on January, the 20-year-old forward made on this Thursday his first appearance in the CONCACAF Champions League during the last-16 second leg against Honduran side Marathon.
Aguirre came off the bench in the second half and helped side to clinch a 5-0 win as he netted the fourth goal of Santos Laguna. The Mexicans have already clinched a success in the first leg (6-2).
Santos Laguna can still dream about a first CONCACAF Champions League crown. The Liga MX side has already reached the final twice, in 2012 and 2013, without lifting the trophy.
