Aged only 19, José Juan Macias has made recently a string of good performances in the Liga MX and he’s confirming that he boasts a great potential.

“One day, I’ll play for Real Madrid or FC Barcelona and why not win the Champions League”. These words are from José Juan Macias.

We don’t know if the Guadalajara-born will reach one day the heights of world football. However, we can say that the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018 runner-up has impressed over the last months.

If Mexico secured a qualification for the World Cup U20, this is in large part thanks to Macias who finished as the CONCACAF U20’s top scorer on November with 10 goals.

Rated as one of the Mexico’s brightest young talents, the 19-year-old striker wanted to play regular first-team football this season in order to continue his development. That’s why he has been loaned out by his childhood club Chivas to Leon.

A winning choice as the Mexico U20 international is enjoying a tremendous start to the season : he has already scored 5 goals in 6 Liga MX games.

Led by their prolific striker, Leon are currently third in the league and can dream about a qualification for the play-offs
