France clinched their third win a row as the Bleuets beat Mali (2-1) after a thrilling game ! We lived a close first half as both teams had big chances to score. France was near to score but the Konaté’s shot from distance was off target while Dibatere parried an effort from Mousset. Mali reacted thanks to Doumbia but his volley was off target.
The first half was lively, the second was thrilling too ! Mali were reduced to 10 men as Coulibaly was sent off for a second yellow card and just after that France earned a penalty : Robinet was fouled by Toure in the box. However, Guirassy missed the penalty as his shot was off target ! Despite a man down, Mali took the lead just before the hour mark : picked out by Samassekou, Niane scored his second goal in this Toulon Tournament thanks to a lovely lob !
Unfortunately for Mali, Bamba came off the bench and helped France to reverse the trend : firstly, the AS Saint-Etienne winger delivered an assist for Roibnet who equalised. Then, the same Bamba put the Bleuets ahead with an effort from the edge of the box ! The score will not change even if Mali was close to equalise as the Niane’s lob hit the crossbar ! What a game !
