While the summer transfer market has just closed its doors, it is now time to take a look at the Maurice Revello Tournament graduates who could make a name for themselves this season in Serie A. From Bakayoko to Vieira, here is our list of seven players !

Tiémoué Bakayoko (Naples)

Different seasons, same situation for the French midfielder. After two successive loans spells at Milan and Monaco, the Maurice Revello Tournament 2014 second best player thought maybe that he would stay at Chelsea this season. However, the Blues decided to loaned out him again, this time at Napoli. The France international will be aiming to earn a spot in the Napoli starting XI in order to increase his chances to be selected for the Euro 2021.

Merih Demiral (Juventus)

After an inaugural season at Juventus disturbed by a long injury and then the pandemic, the Turkish defender starts this new campaign as an ouisder. Ahead of him, Bonucci and De Ligt appear to be the starting central defenders but the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018 graduate has the mental and the talent to alter the hierarchy. He proved it last year, can he do it again ?

Hans Hateboer (Atalanta)

We could have talked about Papu Gomez, Duvan Zapata or Luis Muriel, all these Maurice Revello Tournament graduates who are part of this seducing squad of Atalanta. But we have choose to speak about the Dutch defender who is a model of consistency. Over the last three seasons, he played… 100 Serie A games and scored 5 goals. This season, he has already started 3 games and will be without doubt a key player for the team trained by Gianpiero Gasperini.

Franck Kessie (AC Milan)

We don't need anymore to introduce the Ivorian midfielder who starts his fourth season at Milan. The Maurice Revello Tournament 2015 graduate should be once again a regular starter for the Rossoneri, as illustrated by his tally so far : 106 games and 16 goals in Serie A with the Italian giants. The Stefano Pioli boys will need him to reach their aim : secure a spot for the Champions League at the end of the season.

Lyanco (Torino)

The Maurice Revello Tournament 2019 winner is facing a turning point in his career. After a successful but reduced campaign last year due to the pandemic, the 23-year-old centre-back has no more time to loose. In order to fulfill his potential, Lyanco will have to reverse the trend as he hasn’t played a single minute since the start to the current season. He was even close to leave the Turin-based club. However, the Brazilian rock has clearly the abilities to bounce back.

Takehiro Tomiyasu (Bologne)

He’s clearly one of the youngsters to follow in Serie A. After a promising first season with Bologna (29 games, 1 goal in 2019-2020), the Japan international is keeping the momentum going as he started all the games played by his side since the start to the current season. At only 21, the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018 graduate is aiming to continue his development. If he achieves to do that, no doubt that he’ll catch the eye of some clubs in a near future…

Ronaldo Vieira (Hellas Vérone)

After a season 2019-2020 during where he has earned a lot of game time with Sampdoria (27 games including 20 as a starter), the English midfielder has been loaned out to Hellas Verona at the end of the transfer window. The goal is to improve more and more his consistency and confirm the potential showed at Leeds United three years ago and during the Maurice Revello Tournaments 2017 and 2018.
