Independiente Sante Fé won their 9th Colombian league title as they beat Deportes Tolima (1-0 aggregate score) in the Clausura finals. Thanks to this title, Independiente Santa Fé have also ensured their spot for the Copa Libertadores 2017 (the South American equivalent of the Champion’s League).

Yulian Anchico, who took part in the Toulon Tournament 2003, helped his team to clinch this trophy as he played 30 league games this season. The 32-year-old right back has clinched the Colombian league title for the third time with the Bogotà-based club : the Colombia international (31 capes, 1 goal) has already been crowned champion of Colombia in 2012 (Apertura) and 2014 (Clausura) with Independiente Santa Fé.
