Ayala, Aquino, Delort and Rivas crowned Mexican champions with Tigres UANL

Tigres were crowned Mexican champions as they beat Club America in the final. After earning a draw in the first leg (1-1), the San Nicolás de los Garza-based secured the Liga MX title via penalty shootout in the second leg (1-1, 3-0). It was a thrilling game as both sides finished the game with only 9 players !

Hugo Ayala (Toulon Tournament 2006) and Javier Aquino (Toulon Tournament 2012) were in the Tigres’ starting line-up while José Rivas (Toulon Tournament 2005) came off the bench after 92 minutes. However, the Mexican defender has spent only few minutes on the pitch as he was sent off after 109 minutes !

Meanwhile, Andy Delort (Toulon Tournament 2011) remained on the bench for the whole game. Despite that, The French striker helped his side to clinch this title as he scored 3 goals in 12 league appearances this season.
