Initially named in the France squad that will face Bulgaria (October 7) and Belarus (October 10) in the World Cup 2018 qualifiers, Layvin Kurzawa (who played the Toulon Tournament in 2013) has been left out of the team following an ankle’s injury.

To replace him, the head coach Dider Deschamps has decided to call Jordan Amavi, the Olympique de Marseille left-back.

Runner-up of the Toulon Tournament 2014, Amavi will discover the France senior squad for the first time of his career. The 23-year-old has been rewarded for his promising performances with Marseille.
