Brazil-England : 1-3
Except the last-16 against Japan, England have always scored at least three goals per game in this World Cup. The Young Three Lions maintained their goalscoring form against Brazil in front of 63 881 people at Kolkata. The young English striker Rhian Brewster, who netted three times in the previous game against USA, has scored a hat-trick again in this semi-final.
The Liverpool wonderkid found the net twice in the first half before adding a third goal with thirteen minutes remaining. Before that, Brazil equalized through Wesley.
The Brewster’s hat-trick fires England into their first ever World Cup U17 final. Meanwhile, the Liverpool striker is now the current competition’s top scorer with 7 goals scored in 5 games.
Mali-Spain : 1-3
Abel Ruiz is on fire ! Impressive since the beginning of the competition, the FC Barcelona starlet has once again justified his captaincy as he led his team to the final.
The Spanish forward broke the deadlock after nineteen minutes on a penalty and then added a second goal after being assisted by Cesar. In the second half, Ferran Torres gave a three-goal-advantage to La Rojita while Lassana N’Diaye reduced the deficit for Mali by scoring his sixth goal in this competition.
Thanks to this win, Spain will play their fourth World Cup U17 final and will try to lift the trophy for the first time ever.
