All the clubs from the Paraguayan First Division are required to name at least one U19 player in their starting XI for the league games.
Josué Colman has benefited from this rule as he established himself as a regular for one of the best sides of the country, Cerro Porteño. The 19-year-old Paraguayan midfielder, who took part in the Toulon Tournament 2016, has played 45 Primera Division games in two years including 40 as a starter.
Colman has made significant progress thanks to this playing time. He has notably distinguished himself few weeks ago in a potential title-decider against General Diaz (2-1) as he netted the equalizer.
This goal from Colman can be crucial : Cerro Porteño are at the top of the table with three games remaining and their margin over second-placed General Diaz is now five points.
Thanks to his performances, the Asunción-born has attracted interest from several clubs : according to the reports, Valencia and River Plate are monitoring the Colman’s progress.
