France finally find their way to victory over Korea Republic
The second match of the day pitted two teams struggling in the tournament against each other. On the one hand, France, who had just one point after two matches. On the other, Korea Republic, who, with two defeats in as many games, had yet to open their points account. Victory was therefore vital for both nations if they were to have any hope of reaching the 2024 finals. Under pressure, France were able to secure the essential points and defeat Korea Republic 1-0.
