On 9th November, Selma Bacha celebrated her 18th anniversary. That day, maybe she took the time to reflect on her stunning start to career. Despite being only 18, the French woman boasts a flattering CV.
Her 2017-2018 campaign is a perfect example. During that season, the young left-back has cemented her place in the Olympique Lyonnais first-team. A personal development rewarded on a collective level as Lyon won both French league and Champions League titles.
Straight after, the Lyon-born has earned some experience at the international level as she took part in the Sud Ladies Cup 2018 and the U20 World Cup with France.
She continued her development this season like illustrated by her first European goal scored during the Champions League game against Ajax Amsterdam (4-0) on October. Was it a turning point ? Whatever it be Bacha signed few days later a contract extension with Lyon until 2022.
“This a huge pride because Lyon is my childhood club and I hope to end my career there. Everything is going well so far. I hope to keep the momentum going in order to reach my goals. I hope to win many titles with Lyon and why not taking part in the next World Cup with France”, she told to the club’s official website.
