The Toulon Tournament is fast approaching. To wait patiently until the beginning of the 46th edition of the competition (from 26th May to 9th June), let’s take a look at the players who could shine during the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018. Today, we talk about Harvey St-Clair, the Chelsea FC youngster.
Last year, Scotland enjoyed a fantastic run as they clinched the Toulon Tournament 2017 third place after beating notably Brazil, the first win ever against the Seleçao in all categories.
In order to repeat these heroics, the Scottish national team will return to the Maurice Revello Tournament with a squad composed of several players who have been there in 2017. However, some new faces would be included in the team like Harvey St-Clair who is in line for a Toulon Tournament call-up.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has been in fine form for the Chelsea youth teams this season. He has notably found the net in the league against both Manchester City (3-2) and Manchester United (4-0). Meanwhile, St-Clair helped the Blues to reach the Youth League final as he scored in the last round of 16 against Feyenoord Rotterdam (5-2) and then in the quarter-final against Real Madrid (4-2).
He has been rewarded for his performances by a first Scotland U21 call-up on March. Which sounds like a positive signal ahead of the Maurice Revello Tournament. “It would be an honour to be called up for the Toulon tournament in the summer”, he said recently to the Scottish FA website.
